Ground Beef
  • 1 pound ground beef 80% lean recommended
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 cup hot honey
  • 2 cups cooked rice white or brown
  • 1 cup steamed broccoli
  • 1/2 cup shredded carrots
  • 1/4 cup chopped green onions
  • sesame seeds for garnish optional

Method
 

  1. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add ground beef and cook for 5-7 minutes until browned.
  2. Drain excess fat, add garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper. Cook for 2 minutes.
  3. Pour hot honey over the beef, stir, and simmer for 2-3 minutes.
  4. Assemble the bowl with rice, beef mixture, steamed broccoli, shredded carrots, and green onions. Garnish with sesame seeds if desired.
